Watch Out For Verisimilitude

Watch Out For Verisimilitude

Misrepresentation will be your downfall

“Verisimilitude” means to present yourself falsely.

There is a tendency for Job seekers to inflate or mislead when projecting their skills, knowledge, and abilities during the recruitment process. My advice is don’t do it!

Recruiters may not see through verisimilitude, however, once a Candidate successfully secures employment and they are then found wanting because they are unable to do what they claimed they could do, it is certain that their employment will be quickly terminated.

Never let verisimilitude stand in the way of your career.
